BOC hails Mitsubishi Motors as one of PH's top importers for 2025

MANILA: Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) is one of the country’s leading importers for 2025.

According to the Japanese automaker’s local arm, it ranked seventh overall last year on the Bureau of Customs’ list after contributing P13.189 billion in duties and taxes — joining firms from the oil, petroleum, and motor vehicle industries. 

According to MMPC, the recognition highlights the firm’s import operations, which support both manufacturing activities and the supply of vehicles and parts to meet the mobility needs of customers across the country.

Aside from that, the achievement showcases its role as a trusted industry partner supporting government revenue generation while reinforcing its long-standing presence in the Philippine automotive sector. 

For the full 12 months of 2025, the company sold 86,808 units. The volume is mainly attributed to the strong sales figures of the Mitsubishi Xpander, which was the country’s best-selling nameplate in the previous year.

Another milestone that MMPC reached recently is the rollout of the 900,000th L300 unit, which is still being manufactured in its Santa Rosa facility.
