MANILA: BYD announced that the company has finished 2023 strong with sales of three million units.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What is BYD's total sales for 2023?

BYD sold a total of 3,024,417 vehicles in 2023.
  • By what percent did BYD's sales grow compared to its overall sales in 2022?

According to BYD, its sales for 2023 grew by 61.9 percent compared to its overall sales in 2022.
  • According to the Chinese carmaker, the said milestone allowed BYD to maintain its position as the global new energy vehicle (NEV) sales champion for a second time beating Tesla for two years in a row.

In total, BYD’s deliveries for the whole of 2023 amounted to 3,024,417 vehicles. Compared to the automotive brand’s overall sales for 2022, the said figure reflected a 61.9 percent increase — proving that the Shenzhen-headquartered brand is in league with the big players, especially in the electric vehicle industry.

Key to the said growth is BYD’s strides in increasing its international presence. As a result, the auto firm now has reached over 70 countries, which resulted in the booming export figure reported by the carmaker.

“With BYD’s technological prowess and commitment to providing global consumers with more eco-friendly and efficient mobility solutions, coupled with the support from global top-tier partners, BYD’s technology and products have been favored by numerous global consumers and given a multitude of product recognitions,” the NEV brand wrote in a statement.
