CAMPI aids Angat Buhay's sustainability thrusts
Private group hands over P500K to NGO

MANILA: The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Incorporated (CAMPI) has partnered with Angat Buhay in support of the latter’s sustainability initiatives.

The turnover ceremony reaffirmed the group’s commitment towards climate change mitigation and the adaptation and enforcement through partnerships with non-government organizations (NGO).

“We are very happy to partner with Angat Buhay in their efforts to assist different communities nationwide specially for climate change and sustainability initiatives. CAMPI has always been a strong advocate for environmental responsibility, and we believe that working with organizations like Angat Buhay allows us to make a meaningful impact,” CAMPI President Atty. Rommel Gutierrez.
Per CAMPI, it has consistently championed sustainability and environmental responsibility. One of the avenues include the proceeds from the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) that is regularly allocated to organizations that align with CAMPI’s advocacies, particularly in climate action and disaster response.
In addition, CAMPI’s member companies have their own sustainability programs – ranging from carbon footprint reduction, tree-planting initiatives, and water conservation projects to sustainable vehicle production and electric vehicle promotion.
For his part, Angat Buhay Executive Director Raffy Magno expressed gratitude to CAMPI for the assistance, saying that the amount will help them deliver programs and assistance to “disaster-prone areas and vulnerable communities across the country.”
