Per CAMPI president Jose Maria Atienza, the boost in February sales was the result of the improvement in supply — with most brands being able to serve the improved demand for the month. "We experienced an expected drop in January, partly caused by the leaner supply as an effect of the strong buyer demand we saw in December," he explained.
He also noted that the February performance provides a more stable outlook and is a welcome development after the market drop during the second half of last year.

Meanwhile, passenger cars added 13,226 units to the CAMPI-TMA February 2026 year-to-date total sales.
xEV sales
The same report also reflected the increasing demand for electrified models (xEV) as CAMPI and TMA enjoyed a 66.9-percent increase in sales following their 5,701-unit churn.
Providing the biggest jump in sales in terms of percentage is the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) category after its sales grew by 1,083 percent — handing over 556 units in January-February 2026 from just 47 vehicles over the same timeline in 2025.

Meanwhile, battery electric vehicle (BEV) models also experienced a 77-percent rise after selling 594 units in the past two months.
