Chery Auto PH launches all-new QEV

MANILA: Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) previewed the all-new QEV at the ongoing 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).

In a statement, the Chinese automaker’s local arm shared that the locally-debuting model is designed for contemporary urban living. 

The firm also claimed that the latest addition to its roster represents a new chapter for the brand’s journey in the country, which is “defined by intelligent mobility solutions, practical innovation, and vehicles designed to complement the evolving lifestyles of modern Filipino drivers.” 

Here’s what the all-new Chery QEV offers to its would-be buyers.

Chery QEV

Bestowed with Red Dot Design Award and iF Design Award honors, the vehicle wears a refined geometric design language highlighted by Q-shaped LED headlamps and taillamps, as well as youthful color options such as beige, red, and purple.

Inside, the all-new Chery QEV features a 15.6-inch 2.5K Ultra HD touchscreen display powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor. This system supports Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 50-watt wireless smartphone charging dock, and voice controls.

It also boasts ventilated seats, 38 storage spaces throughout the cabin, and flexible cargo space. 

Powering the vehicle is an electric motor in rear-wheel-drive format paired with a battery that allows the vehicle to cover up to 405 kilometers of pure electric driving range (based on New European Driving Cycle standards).

This also has direct current fast charging capabilities that can juice up the energy bank from 30 to 80 percent in around 16 minutes as well as a vehicle-to-load function that enables users to share power with external devices.

Among its suite of safety and convenience technologies, which include:

• Level 2 Intelligent Driving Assistance
• 540-degree Around View Monitor

Now open for reservations, the all-new Chery QEV is priced at P1.12 million. This is packaged with a five-year or 150,000-kilometer vehicle warranty (whichever comes first), as well as an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty (whichever comes first)for high-voltage electric vehicle components.

The opening of the Chery booth at the four-day event marked the local launch of its new global brand promise, “For the Family.” This represents its commitment to creating vehicles that place people, relationships, and everyday journeys at the heart of every innovation.

“We know that a car is more than just transportation. It is part of our everyday lives, bringing our children to school, supporting our work and businesses, reconnecting us with loved ones, and creating moments that matter most,” UAAGI Auto Group Deputy Director Joshua Sytin said.

Also featured in the area is the Chery Tiggo rEV—a seven-seater plug-in hybrid electric vehicle.

Event-goers can also take advantage of exclusive event offers, including a PIMS-exclusive promo of P888,000 for the Tiggo Cross CVT. The limited-time offer is available to customers who place a reservation during the four-day motor show.
