Chevrolet PH unveils meaner-looking, updated Trax variants

MANILA: The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), exclusive distributor and importer of Chevrolet vehicles in the country, unveils a flexible and athletic compact SUV  built for urban driving: the Chevrolet Trax Premier.

 

The obviously more aggressive-looking version of the Trax includes functional updates, sleek design components, and advanced safety and technology features.

The Chevy model also features chrome accents, an iconic dual-port grille, and sculpted rear, which is further improved through an exceptional rear and front black Chevrolet bowtie badge and a "Premier" decal. The side profile with a new stylish rear quarter decal magnifies the athletic appeal of the vehicle.

The Premier LS is equipped with strong 16-inch carbon gray rims while the LT variant rests on aggressive 18-inch carbon gray rims, which both contribute to the confidence that the compact SUV exhibits.

A component that completes the exterior design updates of the Trax Premier is a functional crossbar that maximizes the storage space of this Chevy model.

The Chevrolet Trax Premier comes in six color options:  Switchblade Silver, Abalone White Tri-coat, Summit White, Black Meet Kettle, Seeker Metallic, and Pull Me Over Red.

Beneath the hood of the Trax Premier is a 1.4-liter turbocharged Ecotec four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine generates 200Nm of torque and 140hp, and this enhances the driving experience of the compact SUV in the open road and the city.

Inside, the Trax Premier has safety and convenience features such as a cabin air ionizer to maintain clean and contaminant-free air inside the vehicle.

An HD DVR dashcam is also included for recording daily drives so as to maintain security within the vehicle. The dashcam also features a control app and smartphone viewing.

The Trax Premier also has a cargo tray that protects the trunk from spills, scratches, and dirt.

This Chevy model includes the intuitive MyLink Infotainment System, with a seven-inch color touchscreen display that is reinforced through smooth smartphone integration. It also includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity for more convenient access to map directions, calls, messages, and music.

The Premier LS variant also has an updated seven-inch Android color touchscreen that gives anyone easy navigation and entertainment while on the road.

Moreover, the compact SUV provides versatile space for essential items. With eight various seating configurations, the Trax Premier can hold items that are up to two meters long. The vehicle can also provide up to 1,375 liters of luggage space when the rear seats are folded down.

Safety during the daily commute is a key priority in the Trax Premier, evidenced through its passive and active safety features that include hill descent control, hill start assist, engine drag control, straight line stability, panic brake assist, rollover mitigation, rear wheel boost, traction control system, cornering brake control, anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, and six airbags.

The Trax Premier is backed by the Chevrolet Complete Care Program, which provides car owners and buyers with an automatic enrollment to the 24/7 Chevrolet Emergency Roadside Support for three years along with an option for renewal on the fourth year of vehicle ownership, accessibility to the 24/7 Customer Care Hotline, and a coverage of five years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first.

The Chevrolet Trax Premier has two variants: the Trax Premier LS priced at P1,185,888 and the Trax Premier LT (P1,535,888).

Convenient ownership plans are available for the updated compact SUV, with a P58,000 all-in low down payment or zero percent interest up to 48 months at 30% down payment for the Trax Premier LS.

A P38,000 all-in low downpayment or zero interest up to 48 months at 30% down payment can be availed for the Trax Premier LT variant.
