Ford EcoSport Up for Second Round of Recall in Sydney

MANILA: Giving you a break from Volkswagen, we now have another culprit in the crowded auto world. Well, the scale is not as high as VW but still any fraud eruption is worth mentioning. It is not as bad as it sound because Ford itself informed consumers about the manufacturing defect. But what's disappointing is the fact that same car is being recalled for the second time. Is this an indication towards a recall stuffed future, where more faults will crop up slowly?

Talking about the current situation, Ford has recently announced a call-back of 1,201 EcoSport. The problem is not an airbag but the suspension and that to the rear one. And when the suspension does not work properly it spoils the whole driving experience as jerks become more prominent and hurting. In expert language, the torsion beam rear suspension has a bolt disorder, meaning that there are chances of either brokerage or a potential damage in the same. And driving with such suspension is dangerous for both the driver and pedestrian.

The 1000+ Ecosport recalled hold a production batch from Nov 2013 to April 2014. Additional information about repair and repair duration are still to be disclosed by Ford. Though it is not a Philippines-specific recall but it is better to be informed about the car you drive.

Taking you back to the past -

Earlier to this 2,804 Ford EcoSport were recalled and they fall pray because of the classic airbag default. The cables connecting the airbag to side sensors, window, and seatbelt were found faulty. Which caused non-deployment of the same in the case of a collision. So, let's see what else is in future for Ford EcoSport, will it have a recall free future or one more is on its way.
