Ford PH makes Ranger Raptor 3.0-L V6 a mainstay in lineup

MANILA:  Ford Philippines has officially made the limited edition Ranger Raptor 3.0-liter V6 a mainstay in its local lineup. 

Initially introduced in a limited batch of 300 units at last year’s Philippine International Motor Show, more Filipino truck enthusiasts can now bring home the souped-up range-topping variant of the iconic pickup. 

“Due to the overwhelming demand from our customers, we are excited to announce that the Ranger Raptor 3.0-liter V6 will now be a permanent addition to our performance vehicle portfolio,” Ford Philippines Managing Director Pedro Simoes said. 

“The Raptor 3.0-liter V6 is a personal favorite, and I can’t wait for more customers to experience its exceptional power and unmatched versatility,” he added. 

Ford Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 quick specs  

Powering the Ford Ranger Raptor 3.0-liter V6 is a twin-turbo EcoBoost gasoline engine mated to a performance-tuned 10-speed automatic transmission with an electronic shifter. Per the local wing of the American car brand, it also boasts an anti-lag system (available in Baja Mode), intended for off-road use.

In addition to the impressive numbers shown above, the Ford Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6’s powertrain system is equipped with a class-exclusive electronically-controlled active exhaust system that produces some mild-to-wild engine sounds.

With a capable powertrain system, the Ford Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 is also fitted with functional enhancements that have been designed to complement its new-found muscle. Below are the said appointments:

The Ford Ranger Raptor 3.0-liter V6 is also equipped with an advanced permanent four-wheel drive system with an electronically controlled on-demand two-speed transfer case, combined with front and rear locking differentials. 

It also comes with seven selectable drive modes — including the aforementioned off-road-oriented Baja Mode — which allows the truck to handle anything from smooth roads to mud and ruts and everything in between. 

Ford Philippines also pointed out that each drive mode of the Ranger Raptor 3.0-liter V6 pickup truck adjusts a number of elements, from engine and transmission to anti-lock braking sensitivity and calibration, traction and stability controls, exhaust valve actuation, steering, throttle response, and even the instrument cluster and center touchscreen. 

“The enhanced availability of the Ranger Raptor 3.0-liter for Filipino customers further expands the Raptor brand in the country, complementing the Ranger Raptor 2.0-liter Bi-Turbo Diesel Engine. Pickup enthusiasts now have the option to choose which Raptor pickup truck suits their needs and lifestyles,” Ford Philippines’ head honcho concluded. 

Pricing 

The Ford Ranger Raptor 3.0-liter V6 has a price tag of P2.739 million and comes with a five-year warranty. 

Customers choosing the Code Orange color will have to dole out an additional P15,000. Conversely, the colors Arctic White, Absolute Black, Blue Lightning, and Command Grey will not jack up the pickup truck’s price.
