Ford teases us with the possible Mustang Hybrid

MANILA: In the latest video released, Ford, the American car maker has teased us all with what could be the hybrid variant of the heart throbbing Mustang. Ford has been planning to bring out hybrid models of its successful cars from quite long now, and 2020 could be the year of Mustang Hybrid’s arrival.

The hybrid model will be based on the on-sale Mustang’s platform and is a part of the newest campaign “The Future Is Built” by Ford. In the video, what’s clearly visible is the new look of the Mustang which now has redesigned headlights along with simpler and smoother lines on the front bumper. The large grille is no more to be seen, and a plastic trim now covers that area with Mustang logo in the centre. The Mustang logo is a glowing one and that too in blue. If blue means something at all, the new car is a hybrid.

The new front design teased in the video could also be a sneak peak of the next-gen Mustang, which is all set to debut in the year 2021. The video also provides us with a view of the engine bay, which is in all blue, and again if the color indicates something, it is electrification. The Mustang Hybrid is expected to come with the present V8 mill, assisted by an electric motor for more low-end torque.

The muscle car will continue to have a rear wheel drive. It is speculated that the Ford Mustang Hybrid might get the Mach 1 template as well. Further, adding to the speculations, there is no information revealed by the American car manufacturer yet which leaves it all up to one’s imagination.
