Ford Territory hailed 2020 Reader’s Choice: Car of the Year by 'Top Gear PH'

MANILA: The Ford Territory was recognized Reader’s Choice: Car of the Year in the recently concluded Top Gear Philippines Awards 2020.

The Territory was also hailed as the Reader’s Choice: Value Pick and Family Car. The SUV has swept the Reader’s Choice category as it won three out of the six awards.

In 2020, Ford was named the top-selling small SUV as it moved a total of 1,295 units, securing 33% share in the segment. In the first quarter of 2021, its sales has already reached 1,715 units, or a 54% share in the small SUV segment.

The Territory is best known for its stylish look, outstanding performance, and intelligent technologies. It is offered in two variants: the Territory Titanium+ and Territory Trend. The SUV is motivated  by a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with Sport mode that generates 143ps and 225Nm of torque.

Its in-vehicle infotainment display is powered by a 10-inch touchscreen with adjustable quad view, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, four USB ports, and multiple speakers (eight for the Titanium+ variant and six for the Trend variant). The Titanium+ variant also comes with a wireless charging feature.

To ensure maximum safety of all occupants, the Territory Titanium+ variant is equipped with Ford Co-Pilot360, a set of driver-assist technologies that includes active park assist with parallel and perpendicular parking, a 360-degree around view monitor, adaptive cruise control with forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot information system, and lane departure warning.
