Frankfurt 2015 Preview: 2016 Hyundai i20 Active and 2016 Santa Fe Revealed
MANILA: Ahead of the formal debut at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show, Hyundai has revealed two of its models, 2016 Hyundai i20 Active and 2016 Santa Fe. The other four which will be debuted at 2015 Frankfurt motor Show with the logo of Hyundai are i20 WRC, Elantra GT, 2025 concept, and i30. Woah! That's like Hyundai everywhere in the show.
The i20 Active is said to be a beefed-up version of the i20 five-door hatchback with revamped features like skid plates, bumpers, and circular fog lamps. The rear has round reflector lights while the top has roof rails. The brand speaks that the i20 Active's ground clearance has been increased by 20 mm as compared to its predecessor. Talking about the engine of this new Hyundai, it comes with three-cylinder 1.0-litre turbo gasoline engine which offers two power outputs; 100 PS tunes to maximise fuel economy and 120 PS aim to deliver more sprinted driving.
The 2016 Santa Fe is fitted with revamped grille, restyled front bumper, new headlights, fog lamps, and daytime running lights. The rear has new exhaust pipes, refreshed LED taillights, and redesigned bumper. The cabin features better quality materials with design upgrades and other flamboyant technologies at the place. The power details of 2016 Santa Fe is yet to be disclosed by Hyundai, but some of the safety features fitted in are smart cruise control, high beam assist, autonomous emergency braking, rear cross traffic alert, lane change assist and blind spot detection.
With this, we are pretty sure that this Korean brand will be successful to make its mark in all the segments with its various upcoming debuts.
