GAC Motor PH opens Iloilo dealership

MANILA: GAC Motor Philippines has officially tapped the Western Visayas market with the inauguration of its dealership in Iloilo City.

Owned and operated by Ang Automotive Incorporated, the dealership — located at 38 Luna Street, La Paz, Iloilo City, has a showroom that can feature up to six vehicles and a work bay with diagnostic equipment for use with GAC vehicles.

The facility also guarantees availability of genuine parts to ensure fast and dependable after sales service.

The opening of the establishment was headlined by the showcasing of the M6 Pro and M8 people carriers — marking the start of retail in the region.

“The arrival of our two new MPV superstars through our dealership in Iloilo is our response to the warm and strong reception of the Ilonggo community to the brand. Together with Ang Automotive, we at Astara Philippines are dedicated to strengthening GAC’s brand presence and provide unwavering, top-quality service further in Iloilo,” Astara Philippines Brand Head for GAC Motor Philippines Franz Decloedt was quoted as saying.

“This summer of 2024 opens up more avenues for GAC Motor Philippines to empower more Filipino families, enterprises, and communities throughout the country through our brand’s state-of-the-art and high-performance vehicles, as we welcome more vehicle launches and dealership locations in the months to come.”

For his part, Ang Automotive Incorporated President Antonio Ang expressed the company’s enthusiasm in opening the dealership, which serves as the brand’s arrival in Iloilo.

“We are thrilled to welcome the M6 Pro and M8 to our lineup of offerings here in GAC Motor Iloilo. These two new vehicles will surely delight our customers and complement our guarantee of delivering top quality cars and service to all,” he said.

The Astara-led distributor shared that it is on track  to hit the 35 dealer-location goal before the end of 2024, sharing that it will soon open dealerships along Congressional Avenue and Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City, Sumulong Highway in Antipolo, General Santos City, Guiguinto in Bulacan, as well as in Subic in Zambales, and Valenzuela.

To note, the two featured models in the recent dealership opening were teased in late 2023. The multi-purpose vehicle was formally unveiled last March. Offered in two trims namely GS and GL, the pricing of the GAC M6 Pro ranges from P1.23 million all the way to P1.598 million.

Meanwhile, the premium seven-seater minivan — which can be had in GL Master and GX Master options — was launched in February 2024. Their prices are P2.998 million and P3.948 million, respectively.
