GAC Motor PH to conduct track day, test drive for Empow this weekend

GAC Motor Philippines is set to provide an exhilarating experience to those eyeing the Empow sedan this weekend.

In a statement, the local arm of the Guangzhou-based automotive marque said that it will conduct the "Empowered Drive" this coming Saturday and Sunday (September 30-October 1).

According to the Astara-led firm, all GAC dealerships around the country will offer discounts, freebies, and special deals for every Empow purchased during the aforementioned period.

GAC Motor Philippines also shared that a multi-vehicle display will be staged at the Corte de las Palmas in Alabang Town Center where customers can do test drives.

To highlight the car’s capabilities, the company will have a test-drive event at the Batangas Racing Circuit in Rosario, Batangas City on September 30.

Those who will be present at the racetrack will be able to witness and experience the Empow’s capabilities as they will be guided by multi-awarded professional racer George Ramirez.

"Putting the Empow to the ultimate test on the racetrack is our way of proving that we stand by every claim we make about this exceptional vehicle. What better way to validate its power, performance, and precision than by unleashing it on the track, where it can truly shine," GAC Motor Philippines Brand Head Franz Decloedt said.

To note, the GAC Empow is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline with Megawave technology that is paired to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission that allows the car to accelerate 0-100 kilometers per hour in less than seven seconds.

In addition, the GAC Empow — which was launched last January — has a jet-inspired look that complements the quad exhaust system and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the GAC Empow is covered with leather and carbon fiber appointments. It is also fitted with dual smart touch screens that gives the vehicle a futuristic appeal.
