Geely Auto confirms EX2 arrival in PH

MANILA: Geely Auto is planning to introduce the EX2 nameplate in the Philippines.

In a statement, the Hangzhou-headquartered marque announced that the Geely EX2 may enter more markets, including the Philippines, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, Peru, Mexico, and South Africa, to further push the brand’s presence worldwide.

“Through EX2, Geely aims to deliver a more dynamic, engaging, and enjoyable pure-electric mobility experience to users worldwide, in line with the model’s ‘Extra Fun to the World’ positioning,” Geely Auto explained.

Its local debut might be just around the corner as just last month, Zigwheels Philippines already saw the nameplate in the Department of Energy’s list of battery electric vehicles. However, Geely Motor Philippines has yet to announce its formal launch in the country.

Should the model be launched in the country this year, it is expected to significantly contribute to 7,000-unit sales goal the marque’s local arm is eyeing to sell within 2026.

To note, the Geely EX2 is already present in Brazil, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Additionally, Geely Auto also shared that the fully-electric model is the world’s top-selling model in the A/B segments and China’s best-selling model across all segments from January–December 2025, selling 465,775 units.

Aside from that, the model achieved cumulative deliveries of 500,000 units in as fast as 14 months after its global launch.

Vehicle specifications

The Geely EX2 sports a “smiling front fascia” complemented by a clean, premium design language and an elegant, dynamic stance. Built on a quasi-C-segment five-seat layout, the model offers a class-leading rear seat knee room of 890 millimeters.

Further, the model comes with a 70-liter front trunk, a 28-liter underseat rear storage area and a 375- to 1,320-liter expandable rear cargo space. In total, the Geely EX2 has 36 storage compartments throughout the cabin.

Built on Geely's Global Electric Architecture (GEA), the EX2 is the only vehicle in its segment equipped with a rear-wheel-drive multi-link suspension. Additionally, the vehicle is powered by an 11-in-1 electric drive.

Technology-wise, the Geely EX2 boasts a Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit system featuring a 14.6-inch high-definition central display integrated with 12 advanced driver-assistance functions.

In terms of safety, the Geely EX2 features a cage-type body structure, six airbags, and a liquid-cooled battery system supported by Geely’s Battery Safety System.
