MANILA: The Hyundai Ioniq 6 N has made its global debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Per Hyundai, the Ioniq 6 N makes as much as 641 horses with 770 Nm.Teased by the South Korean carmaker sometime last month, it is touted as an everyday sports car that is capable of taking on the track while still providing comfort and refinement to strike the balance between performance and practicality.

Thanks to the above figures, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N is able to zoom from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) in just 3.2 seconds. Speed peaks at 257 kph.
Photo from HyundaiEnsuring the car’s battery can meet the demands of modern high-performance driving, Hyundai revamped its management system to adapt to a wide range of track driving conditions — like drag, sprint, or endurance.
According to the carmaker, the integration of battery conditioning functions leads to higher and long-lasting performance.
Aerodynamics, suspension
Hyundai also noted that the Ioniq 6 N benefits from aerodynamic-focused, motorsport-inspired appointments like its swan neck rear wing and widened fenders.
The aforementioned not only accentuates its circuit-ready character but also enhances stability during high-speed cornering.
Further, it gets a fully redesigned suspension geometry and a re-engineered chassis for improved handling precision and road holding.

Finally, the car gets new stroke-sensing electronically-controlled suspension dampers. Thanks to its sensors, the system allows for a wide range of damping force adjustments to suit varying conditions.

Advanced vehicle control
The Hyundai Ioniq 6 N also packs a suite of advanced vehicle control systems, aimed at enhancing every aspect of driver interaction.
First of which is the N e-Shift, an innovative shift control system that simulates close gear ratios to heighten responsiveness and strengthen the driver’s connection to the car.
Photo from HyundaiThe Hyundai N e-Shift in the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N is compatible with the car’s key performance features such as the N Launch Control, N Drift Optimizer, N Grin Boost, and N Torque Distribution.
Adding to the experience is the N Track Manager, which helps empower drivers to tailor and analyze their on-track performance.
The abovementioned intelligent feature allows owners to create custom tracks, monitor speed data, and evaluate performance through real-time ghost car visuals and detailed lap time analysis.
Rounding up its vehicle control features is the N Active Sound + and N Ambient Shift Light, Hyundai Ioniq 6 Nwhich enhances the driver’s overall experience by delivering immersive sound and lighting.
Optional performance parts
At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Hyundai also showcased a slew of optional performance parts for the Ioniq 6 N.
