Hyundai to unveil new Creta on Jan. 16

MANILA: The newest iteration of the Hyundai Creta will make its global debut in India on January 16.

Based on the Korean carmaker’s “Sensuous Sportiness” global design language, the new Creta features a bolder look and an eye-catching style. Its practical and premium interior makes it an ideal crossover for city driving.

The new Creta sports a powerful appeal, with a new radiator grille, an upright hood design, quad beam LED headlamps, and new horizon LED positioning lamp and daytime running lights.

It will be available in six monotone color options including Robust Emerald Pearl, Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, and Titan Grey, and one dual-tone color option — Atlas White with Black Roof.

Inside, the new Creta is equipped with high-tech amenities, including a seamlessly integrated 10-inch infotainment display with built-in navigation, Blue Link connectivity, and multi-language user interface display. It also comes with an eight-speaker Bose premium sound system.

The space provided in the cabin also offers unparalleled comfort and convenience. It is equipped with ventilated seats, an eight-way power driver seat, a panoramic sunroof, and a dual-zone automatic temperature control.

There are three powertrain options for the new Creta: a 1.5-liter Kappa turbocharged gasoline direct injection engine, a 1.5-liter, multi-point injection petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter U2 common rail direct injection diesel engine.

Meanwhile, the transmission options include a six-speed manual gearbox, an intelligent variable transmission, and a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.

The new Creta also offers an array of futuristic technology and cutting-edge safety features. With over 70 safety features, including six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic stability control, 19 Hyundai Smartsense technologies, and more, the crossover guarantees the highest level of safety to every occupant.

A substantial amount of high-strength steel was used in the new Creta, providing a protective shell for every passenger. To improve structural rigidity and energy absorption, the body structure has been reinforced in critical areas such as crash members, floor, side sill, and crash pad.

“With a plethora of revolutionary tech and safety features, the new Hyundai Creta not only continues the legacy of an undisputed sport utility vehicle but sets a new standard, delighting customers with a superior and futuristic experience,” Hyundai Motor India Chief Operating Officer Tarun Garg stated.

Hyundai Motor Philippines Incorporated has no announcement yet on whether the new Creta will be available in the country.

The current Creta model in the country was introduced in 2022, along with the relaunch of the brand in the local market. It has been known for its futuristic exterior and for having the most active safety systems in its segment.
