Inchcape PH turns over Mazda C5 Pasig

MANILA: The Inchcape Philippines-led Mazda dealership will be turned over to the brand’s local arm next month.

In a statement, the company said that the Mazda Pasig C5 facility will be managed by Bermaz Auto Philippines Incorporated starting August 1.

During the transition period, ICATS Asian Motors and Bermaz Auto Philippines will work together to support continuity for customers, partners and employees under the establishment.

According to Inchcape Philippines, the move to sell the retail business is part of its strategic portfolio management initiatives to ensure business remains focused on the brands, capabilities and market opportunities best aligned with its long-term strategic priorities in the country.

“This transition reflects a shared commitment to ensuring continuity for customers, partners and employees while supporting the ongoing success of the Mazda brand in the Philippines,” Inchcape South Asia and Pacific Manager Director Alex Hammett said.

For Inchcape, it is also consistent with our disciplined approach to portfolio management, allowing us to focus our resources on opportunities that best align with our long-term strategic priorities,” he added.

Meanwhile, Bermaz Auto Philippines shared that the transition reflects its commitment to the Mazda brand, the dealership network, and most importantly, its customers and the intention to support the brand's next chapter in the Philippine market.
