Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD is less, but more
MANILA: Gone are the days of the rear-wheel-driven supercars which used to offer a superlative driving experience. Although they didn't even sport the much-proclaimed turbochargers let alone superchargers, the V6s, V8s, or the V10s still packed in more than enough juice for you to experience the thrill. Fast forward to 2020 and we don't have many rear-wheel-driven, naturally aspirated, and manual stick equipped supercars out there.
However, just in case you have been craving for one since long, the automobile gods have, at last, answered your prayers. Coming out of the Lamborghini's production facilities is the all-new Huracan Evo RWD, a naturally-aspirated V10 powered supercar with a rear-wheel-drive only system.
Starting with the exterior changes that the Italian automaker has made on the Huracan Evo RWD to give it a unique personality, the less with more supercar gets a new front splitter, fresh fins, and a brand new rear diffuser. In the U.S. the Lamborghini Huracan EVO RWD starts at $208,571 in the U.S. excluding GST. Moreover, there is an array of optional equipment to choose from.
So, for the masses wanting to have their hands on a naturally-aspirated V10 powered supercar, the all-new Italian beauty comes housing a 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 that is capable of generating 610 hp of maximum power and 560 Nm of peak torque. As we mentioned earlier, the power is channelled to the rear wheels only. Unfortunately or fortunately, the transmission is still an automatic unit.
Just like any other Lambo, the Huracan EVO RWD is fast and very much capable of making you talk to the winds. The supercar can to a 0 to 100 kmph run in just 3.3 seconds before topping out at 326 kmph.
"The Huracán EVO rear-wheel-drive puts the car in the driver’s hands: the driving experience is delivered by the hardware. This car reminds the driver of Lamborghini’s pure engineering origins: the driver is at the centre of the Huracán EVO RWD’s performance, with unfiltered feedback and an emotive and more engaging driving experience controlled by the pilot", said Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini.
