MANILA: Lexus has added a new trim for its best-selling NX nameplate in Australia. It is dubbed the 450h+ AWD Luxury, and it is a plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) touted for its efficiency and relatively accessible starting price.

The plug-in hybrid powertrain of the Australia-spec Lexus NX450h+ Luxury consists of two electric motors, a 2.5-liter engine, a lithium-ion battery, and an all-wheel-drive system.Per the luxury brand’s website for The Land Down Under, the said trim starts at $84,500, or around P3.113 million at current exchange rates.
For its powertrain, it utilizes a 2.5-liter inline-4 gasoline mill paired with two electric motors and an 18.7 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery. In total, the said combo can produce up to 304 horsepower (hp).
The new Australia-spec NX450h+ Luxury also has all-wheel-drive (AWD), and an electric-only range of 87 kilometers, according to the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
Enhanced ride quality and stability for the new NX trim are ensured by an Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), performance dampers, and in-depth drive modes. Additional driving-related equipment present on the new trim also includes 20-inch wheels, cornering lamps, automatic levelling LED headlamps, and F-Sport seats.
Other noteworthy amenities available on the Australia-spec Lexus NX450h+ Luxury include:

Availability
As shared by Lexus, deliveries for the new NX450h+ Luxury in Australia are scheduled to commence in September 2025. Additionally, the new PHEV trim supplants the old gasoline-only entry-level NX250 variant.
For the Philippines, the NX450h is not yet available, but the brand’s local arm has yet to indicate when it will bring in the said version.
Currently, the available Philippine-spec NX trims include the 350h Executive, 350h Premier, and the top-spec F Sport.
The Lexus NX F Sport is the model’s most expensive trim in the Philippines, with a starting price of P4.878 million.
Unlike the new PHEV version in Australia, the locally available NX F Sport is a gasoline-only model with a 2.4-liter inline-4 mill under its hood. At maximum, it can generate up to 275 hp and 430 Newton-meters of torque.
