Lincoln Navigator Concept Revealed at New York Auto Show 2016
SUV segment is booming at a consistent rate in the automobile world and as the popularity of this segment is increasing at a rapid pace, each brand is trying to prove its excellence in the particular segment. At the ongoing New York Auto Show 2016, Lincoln has presented it Navigator concept, which is a sheer example of innovation and latest technology in the SUV segment. With the introduction of this latest SUV concept, this American brand has raised the bar for the competitors.
Aimed to compete against the Cadillac’s Escalade, and another prominent line-up of Lexus and Infiniti, the concept is inspired by luxury sailboats and yachts. The blue paint finish along with modern lines gives this SUV a distinct appeal. The wide grille in front accompanied with sharp headlights grants Navigator Concept a masculine look. Under the hood this beautiful beast host a 3.5-litre twin turbo V6 EcoBoost engine which is capable of churning out a maximum power of 406 PS.
The interior has been evolved with utmost attention and one can experience the same from the entry itself as the all-new Navigator Concept welcomes you with deployable concertina stairs. The three rows of this SUV are evolved with six seats, which can be adjusted in 30 ways ensuring the comfort of the occupants in the best possible manner. Along with this, selectable drive modes ensures customizable ride, which alters the steering, suspension and noise levels according to driver’s mood. The infotainment system located in the centre is a host of features, which not only depicts the important information but also guarantee’s that the occupants are pleased in an effective manner.
On the safety front, this Lincoln Concept features Pre-Collision Assist, Pedestrian Detection with radar, camera technology to scan roads, lane-keeping system and different sensors to alarm the driver in any emergency situation. Seems like the American auto conglomerate is looking to enhance its market share as Ford introduced its limited edition Mustang few days back and now its luxury division Lincoln has come up with the new Navigator concept. We still have to wait for the production version of this concept as the company has not hinted towards the same.
