MIAS 2025: Jaecoo showcases upcoming J7 SHS

MANILA: Jaecoo Philippines has showcased the upcoming J7 Super Hybrid System (SHS) at the ongoing Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2025. 

With its SHS powertrain, the car brand has touted the crossover model as a highly fuel-efficient ride. The aforementioned was previously confirmed by a test conducted by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP), where it was found that the model could cover around 1,500 kilometers (km) on a single full tank and battery charge. 

The fuel-sipping qualities of its 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and electric motor combo can be attractive to buyers, but the vehicle is likewise peppy.  For reference, here are the output figures of the Jaecoo J7 SHS

Notably, the vehicle also comes with regenerative braking, vehicle-to-load capabilities, and an electric-only range of 100 km. 

Apart from its powertrain, the J7 SHS also wears an imposing sports utility vehicle-inspired look. Its squarish outline is also complemented by notable exterior features such as: 

• LED exterior lighting
• Automatic headlamp functionality
• Power-folding side mirrors
• Rain-sensing wipers
• Front and rear fog lamps

Inside, the Jaecoo J7 SHS likewise received plenty of creature comforts, the most notable of which is a sizable 14.8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12.5-inch digital gauge cluster, power-adjustable front seats, a panoramic sunroof, automatic air-conditioning, and a 50-watt wireless smartphone charging pad - among others. 

Safety-wise, the Jaecoo J7 SHS comes with an extensive suite of advanced driver-assist systems combined with an array of standard safety gear.  

As of its appearance at MIAS 2025, no pricing details were disclosed for the Jaecoo J7 SHS. The brand, however, did share that its Premium and Comfort trims will retail below P1.7 million. 

Additionally, the vehicle will be packaged with a seven-year or 200,000 km warranty (whichever comes first) package once launched. 

Moreover, the brand indicated that the first batch of J7 SHS is due to arrive in May 2025. Ahead of the said date, interested buyers of the crossover can also pre-order the model from the brand's dealerships nationwide.
