Mitsubishi Shield Faced ASX To Be Launched At PIMS 2016

MANILA: It seems like, among all the Japanese automakers, Mitsubishi is the one looking to take lead in terms of number of launches at the upcoming PIMS 2016. Previously, the manufacturer revealed that it will launch the Outlander PHEV at the 6th Philippines International Motor Show and now another launch is lined up by Mitsubishi. With this, Outlander PHEV and XM-MPV Crossover Concept will not be the only models at the Mitsubishi’s booth and the refreshed ASX crossover will also join them.

The dynamic shield face was first revealed at the 2015 Los Angeles Motor Show and now the upcoming ASX will get the Dynamic Shield front fascia. Apart from this, other changes of ASX include new side mirrors with integrated LED turn lights, wheel lip mouldings and new set of 18-inch alloy wheels. Even the interior has received some changes which include new seat material, refreshed three-spoke multi-function steering wheel and new dashboard design theme. Under the hood, it will be equipped with a 2.0-litre 4B11 inline-four engine and continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Further information about the facelifted ASX will be revealed at the time of launch in the show and till then we have to wait for the PIMS 2016 gates to open. The updated crossover will be on display from September 14-18 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
