New year, new ride: updated Mitsubishi Triton

PH version is due for an update, and this could be it

New year, new ride: updated Mitsubishi Triton

The Mitsubishi Triton, relatively speaking, is one of the newer pickup truck models in the market. Sure, it is a successor of the age-old Strada, but its current generation sold locally was introduced back in January 2024. This contrasts with other Japanese-branded nameplates, which are still going strong without a full model change.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • How much horsepower and torque can the Thai-spec updated Mitsubishi Triton produce?

The Thai-spec Mitsubishi Triton can produce up to 204 horsepower and 430 Newton-meters of torque.
  • When was the updated Mitsubishi Triton introduced in Thailand?

The updated Mitsubishi Triton was launched in January 2025 in Thailand.
  • In Thailand, however, the Mitsubishi Triton has already received a mid-cycle refresh with significant updates. As such, the said model has been counted among the vehicles we want to see in the Philippines for 2026 since Mitsubishi’s local branch sources its Triton units from Thailand.

On the other hand, Mitsubishi Motor Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has yet to say if the updated Triton will indeed be launched locally, but we are sure that many of its fans are waiting for updates. But what can we expect from the updated Mitsubishi Triton? Let’s find out here.
