MANILA: Mitsubishi Motors Corporation is set to field a total of three Triton pickup trucks at the upcoming 2026 Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR), which is set to kick off this August in Thailand.

The 2026 AXCR will kick off in August 2026 in Thailand.Racing under the Team Mitsubishi Ralliart banner, the three Tritons are set to compete in the AXCR’s T1 class, which is for modified cross-country vehicles. Also, the brand said its team will enter three different units in the race to achieve back-to-back victories.
Regarding their specs, the trio of Team Mitsubishi Ralliart Triton race vehicles is said to have received “enhanced power and durability.”

These go on top of a variety of safety gear.
Furthermore, Mitsubishi says that the Triton race trucks have undergone additional development time to make them competitive in the gruelling, three-day, 2,000-kilometer race.
Notably, Team Mitsubishi Ralliart is owned and operated by Tant Sport, a Thailand-based company. Leading the team is veteran racer and Mitsubishi Motors Senior Expert in Public Relations, Hiroshi Masuoka.

In the Philippine market, the Mitsubishi Triton comes with a sticker price ranging from P1.43 million-P2.359 million.
Topping the model’s variant lineup is the Triton Athlete 4x4 AT, powered by a 2.4-liter turbodiesel engine that produces up to 201 horsepower and 470 Newton-meters of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
