MitsuFest PH celebrates its fourth year with Mitsubishi Motors and Caltex

MANILA: It only seems like yesterday when MitsuFest Philippines celebrated its fourth year in Silang, Cavite. Attracting no less than 2,000 Mitsubishi enthusiasts, including members of more than 30 dedicated car clubs, the event turned out to be a success.

The 2019 MitsuFest PH was held at Acienda Designer Outlets early last month. The up-and-rising commercial spot is an overnight favorite for car-related events. This year alone, the grounds bore witness to the Philippine Autocross Championship and the Fun Racers Car Show.

It’s no wonder that It’s Happening PH, the events organizer behind MitsuFest Philippines, chose the area.
As tradition would have it, MitsuFest 2019 was based on a theme. This year’s theme was dubbed “Legends.”

MitsuFest Legends was intended to highlight legendary Mitsubishi cars from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Basically, these are models that have helped the car maker become a household name in the Philippines. Some of which include Mitsubishi Pajero and the undefeated Mitsubishi L300 from the commercial mini-truck segment.

Other models that were featured at the event include the box-type Lancer, Versa, Galant, and Eclipse Coupe. Owners of modern Mitsubishi vehicles like the Mirage G4 Sedan were allowed to join the open event, but not the contests.

Awards were handed out to participants with the best “legendary” car models per generation, as well as to Mitsubishi car clubs with the most entries and best displays. Throughout the day, crowds were kept entertained by fun-filled games and activities.

Mitsubishi Philippines was there to show support for the event and their beloved fans and customers. With the help of actor and comedian Ramon Bautista, they hosted Minute to Win It challenges.

Apart from giving away prizes, Mitsubishi conducted a test drive to show off their two latest models – the Montero Sport and Mitsubishi Xpander.

Caltex Philippines, who stood as co-presenter of the 2019 MitsuFest Legends, had gifts in store for everyone who entered their vehicles to the contest. Each entrant received a SavePlus Card which gives a discount of Php 1 per liter for Caltex Diesel with Techron, and Php 2 per liter of Caltex Silver and Caltex Premium with Techron.
The SavePlus Card can be used in any participating Caltex station nationwide.
