Next-gen Ford Fiesta ST Spied- Here’s the First Look

MANILA: One of the acclaimed models from the fleet of American auto manufacturer, Ford Fiesta ST is finally out in flesh and has been spied for the first time testing on the streets of Europe. The next-gen Ford Fiesta ST looks quite similar to that of the standard 2018 Fiesta which was caught testing earlier this month in disguised form. Falling under the category of hot hatches, the Fiesta ST has already many fans around the country waiting for its launch.

While the spyshots make it pretty obvious that the car would carry all the possible elements that would take its performance to the next level. Clean bumper at front, no foglamps and an intercooler at the front would contribute to the car’s overall performance and aerodynamics. The hot hatch looks to go long way with these upgrades and with its potential launch in 2018, the company has enough time to test, run and evaluate this amazing hatch before it finally hits the roads. However, the standard model of the hatch is expected to adhere a pair of fog lamps at the front bumper while to enhance the performance on higher variants, these would get dumped for sure.

The standard Fiesta and the ST model would have quite a few things in common namely, the rear part, which has the wide, wrap-around tail lamps and bumper design. While the distinctive roof grooves and tiny headlamp cluster up front are also expected to adhere both the models. However, time would tell if the company thinks the same way or not.

The technical announcement hasn’t been made yet and according to the auto experts around the globe, it would be powered by the same EcoBoost 1.6-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder power mill. However, the expectations from the company to boost up its power level are on a higher side but we need to wait till the final announcement from the brand’s camp is made.

On the entertainment front, it is expected to host the brand’s famous Ford’s SYNC 3 system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionalities that would surely bring a smile on every Ford enthusiast if it happens.
