Nissan might bring a new sedan at the 2019 Auto Shanghai

MANILA: Nissan is all set to unveil a new sedan at 2019 Auto Shanghai, i.e., in about two weeks, regarding which the company has provided no info. However, we expect it to be either Sentra/Sylphy or Almera, as both the cars are currently in the news.

In January, one Chinese auto website managed to get a picture of the Sentra/Sylphy. Hence, it could be said with no major confusion that the upcoming four-door sedan could be the speculated next-gen Sentra/Sylphy.

Checking out the built of the vehicles in the pictures it can be seen that the design pattern follows the current Nissan theme with a V-shaped front grille. The flank follows the accent of fine lines, which is carved through the fenders and narrows down at the end of the quarter panel.

Apart from the glimpse of the exterior, the dimensions are also leaked according to which the sedan measures 4,641 mm long, 1,450 mm tall, and 1,815 mm wide.

As per the pictures leaked in January, at the rear end of the car one can spot the Mandarin badge on the right of the trunk lid and a Sylphy embellished on the left with a sleek silver finish.

At the centre of the boot lid, the Nissan emblem is positioned. The tail light gets an all-new design, and at the bottom, it features a bumper that follows a curved figure integrated with diffusers.

For Almera, which gets the moniker Versa in the US market, is experiencing more chaos in the West. Surprisingly, it is all set to appear on April 12 in Florida in the US.

Overall we are unsure as to which among the Almera and Sentra would be tagged as the next-gen Nissan sedan in China. Let's wait for the 2019 AUto Shanghai for the reveal.
