Nissan now taking pre-orders for limited-edition Ariya in Japan

MANILA: Nissan has officially started to accept pre-orders on the all-new Ariya limited edition lineup in Japan. The Ariya is positioned to provide exceptional driving excitement, confidence, and connectivity.

According to Nissan, Ariya is the brand’s most advanced 100% electric crossover SUV. It comes with two battery sizes, two powertrain options, and premium features that cater to the varying needs of the customers.

The Ariya, which made its world debut last year, represents a key global model under the Nissan Next transformation plan. The stylish and innovative crossover EV combines Nissan’s expertise in electric vehicles with the latest connected technologies.

The vehicle features a modern exterior design which is derived from “Timeless Japanese Futurism.” It sports a set of 19-inch aluminum wheels with three-dimensional blade design in a limited bronze color with black accents.

The Nissan Ariya comes in five exterior color variants with two two-tone limited model exclusives: Burgundy with Midnight Black and Shell Blonde with Midnight Black.

Its spacious interior is said to exude a modern café ambience. Nissan’s new EV platform gives the cabin a flat floor and minimal climate control components.

To provide a sense of openness to the cabin, the Ariya limited edition interior comes with a panoramic glass roof with electric tilt and slide, electric retractable shade, and remote function. It is also equipped with Nappa leather seats and a Bose Premium Sound System with 10 speakers.

Another limited-edition feature is the stylish kick plates, with the front-door kick plates sporting an illuminated Ariya logo. The floor mats come in an exclusive color and a Japanese stone garden motif to exude the traditional Japanese beauty and advanced technology.

The Ariya limited edition models come with four powertrain configurations. The Ariya B6 limited edition two-wheel-drive variant is ideal for urban commuters and first-EV owners, while the Ariya B9 limited edition two-wheel-drive variant is recommended for customers who are planning to take on longer drives as it features a larger battery.

The Ariya B6 e-4orce limited edition all-wheel-drive variant delivers sufficient performance with the help of innovative technologies including twin electric motors and e-4orce control technology. Meanwhile, the Ariya B9 e-4orce limited edition all-wheel-drive variant comes with Nissan Intelligent Mobility features.

All Ariya limited-edition variants are equipped with ProPilot 2.0 advanced driver assistance and ProPilot Remote Park features. ProPilot 2.0 is the latest version of Nissan’s driver assistance technology. It helps reduce the driver’s workload and allows attentive drivers to take their hands off the steering wheel under certain conditions. It supports multi-lane highway driving tasks including lane changes, passing, and highway exiting.

Meanwhile, the ProPilot Remote Park feature makes it possible to park the car even while the driver is outside. The driver can direct the Ariya to park in tight spaces while standing within six meters from the vehicle and holding the dedicated intelligent key. This feature makes it convenient for occupants to exit the car before it is parked as it eliminates the need to contort to prevent door dings in tight parking spaces.

The Ariya also comes with the signature Nissan Safety Shield which includes intelligent around view monitor, intelligent forward collision warning, intelligent emergency braking, and rear automatic emergency braking technology.

Nissan has launched the newest additions on its integrated Shop@Home experience to make it more convenient for customers to pre-order the Ariya. The service offers customers the flexibility to choose the most comfortable shopping experience based on their preferences. This allows customers to purchase a brand-new vehicle either through a digital transaction or a hybrid “digital-to-physical” experience. The latest Shop@Home features will be rolled out in Ariya initial launch markets such as Japan, Europe, US, and China later this year.

Another Shop@Home feature is the Virtual Car which allows customers to experience the vehicle in the digital world and assess if it fits into their everyday lives. It also showcases the pros and cons of EV ownership in an exciting, virtual way. It uses AR technology and video- and text-chat service that allows the user to easily interact with a Nissan specialist about specifications and purchasing.

Pricing for the Ariya limited edition models in Japan starts at approximately 6.6 million yen. Nissan will begin to take pre-orders in other launch markets later this year.
