Noboru Murakami to take Isuzu PH helm by Apr.

MANILA: Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has announced that its leadership will change in the second quarter of this year. Isuzu Motors Limited Japan (IML) Senior Executive Noboru Murakami will replace IPC President Hajime Koso, who has sat in the position for the past seven years — the longest serving head of the company.

Several company milestones have been achieved under Koso's leadership, including the 300,000 sales milestone, the opening of a new parts hub in Metro Manila that facilitated the delivery of parts to various dealerships nationwide, the introduction of the Isuzu Mobile Medic service, a strong dealer expansion program, and a new Isuzu Outlet Standardization, to name a few.

He also led the firm through one of its most challenging periods, retaining its leadership position in the truck market while also releasing new models in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Koso not only leaves a significant legacy in IPC, but he also began to establish a more sustainable path for IPC in the future. This new approach will now be handed on to Murakami, who is expected to steer the company in the years ahead toward a more sustainable and environmentally friendly path.

Murakami, has been assigned to different markets under IML, and has years of experience and expertise in the trucking sector, which should help the company maintain its number one position in the Philippine truck market.
