Online tool lets you know if your Ford needs service-related actions

MANILA: Ford Philippines highlights the significance of vehicle safety with the availability of online tracking tools that give customers up-to-date information on service-related actions.

“The safety of our customers and their vehicles remains our top priority. With our online tracking tools, we’re able to provide our customers easy and convenient access to service actions required for their vehicles to ensure their optimal performance,” Ford Customer Service Division Director Patrick Manigbas stated.

Customers can check whether their Ford vehicles are involved in a service action that requires the immediate replacement of Takata airbag inflators by going to the Ford website. Customers can use the online tracking tool by entering their 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and calling their local Ford dealer if their vehicles are affected. Any Ford dealership can repair affected Ford vehicles at no cost.

In addition to using this tracking tool, Ford is notifying owners of the vehicles affected by the Takata airbag issue. For more information, call the Ford Group Philippines Customer Relations Center (CRC) at (02) 8866 9408 or 1-800-10736-3673.

Customers can also use the Field Service Action (FSA) tracker for other service actions that must be carried out on select vehicles.

Customers may also access the FSA tracker on the Ford website. FSA is a procedure that guarantees that a Ford vehicle meets the highest standards of quality and safety. It entails a rigorous process to inspect, and in some circumstances, repairs and replaces vehicle components to assure the safety of the Ford vehicle and its owner.

Ford vehicle owners can use the tool by entering their 17-digit VIN. If they find a safety-related service action that corresponds with their VIN, they can contact their Ford dealer or the CRC to set up an appointment. The customer will not be charged for the necessary maintenance work or repairs.

“We have created separate tracking tools to ensure that our customers know what to access to know the status of their Ford vehicles,” Manigbas added.

In addition to using online tracking tools, Ford also notifies customers of service-related actions through direct mail.

The 17-digit VIN is indicated on the vehicle registration document, finance statement, and insurance paperwork. It may also be seen on the passenger side of the vehicle, between the dashboard and the windscreen.
