PartsPro.PH makes an impression at 2018 Manila Auto Salon
MANILA: How to make an impression? There ain’t no one better than PartsPro.PH to explain that. At the recently concluded 2018 Manila Auto Salon, PartsPro.PH showed up with no less than three different modified cars. And boy were they good.
The customised cars were nothing less than show stealers. If you’re still wondering what/who PartsPro.PH is, it is one of the biggest online automotive stores for custom parts.
What comes to your mind when you think of Honda Civic EG? A small everyday car, right? Not expected to anything more than those daily chores. However, the modified version named as Type ONE (Spoon Sports) was a fully-fledged mean racer. Under the hood was a JDB B18C Type R engine. The heavily customised racer also had parts like the valve cover, carbon fibre hood, SW388 wheels, LSD, Tsukuba spec gears, headers, strut bars, brakes, carbon kevlar seats and aero parts from Spoon Sports.
A Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII was the next vehicle on display by PartPro.PH. Looking a the vehicle, one couldn’t really say that it was a modified Lancer. The story was different, though. The customisations were there, however, they were all under the hood and were purely mechanical changes. An HKS intercooler, a Motec M800 ECU, and a Tomei exhaust made sure that the Lancer had that oomph. Suspension duties were handed over to Ohlins Road and Track coil-overs and Brembos took care of the braking. Defi gauges, Cusco roll cage, and Bride Low Max seats were the only visible changes on the racer.
The above-mentioned cars were not mean to race, however, the folks at PartsPro.PH turned things around and did the unimaginable. But what if you give them a true sports car? The last car put on display was an Aston Martin N430 Vantage. Already a super fun car, what could have been done to improve it? But some delicate fine-tunings never hurt, do they? And that’s what PartPro.PH actually did. The 19-inch Flow Forged wheels finished in Electrum Gold were fitted on the N430. PartsPro.PH has produced a limited 13 sets of these wheels and the N430 was lucky enough to get one on it. KW V3 coilovers and Porterfield R4 carbon kevlar brake pads were the other notable changes on the Aston Martin N430 Vantage.
