Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT spotted in latest RE: Requiem game trailer
In-game vehicle said to be “custom”-built for protagonist
MANILA: Porsche appears to have struck a partnership with Japanese video game studio Capcom, as the Cayenne Turbo GT was seen ferrying protagonist Leon Kennedy in the game’s latest trailer.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
How much power can the real-world Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT make?
The coupe SUV makes up to 649 horses. What is the model's top speed?
The vehicle's speed peaks at 305 kph.The model variant was confirmed by the Resident Evil official Facebook page through a social media post, quoted: “When one legend drives and inspires another. With the help of his custom @Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT Leon returns to save the day.”
Released during The Game Awards 2025, the third video teaser surprised fans of the franchise after seeing poster boy Kennedy, as Capcom has been dodging his involvement in the title’s ninth installment, and pushed Grace Ashcroft as the main playable character for some time.
Much to the delight of kids who learned to love cars by playing Gran Turismo on their PlayStations (when they got too scared of playing Resident Evil 2), the once rookie cop who arrived in Racoon City returns — not only with his signature 90s haircut — but also in a sleek, coupe sport utility vehicle (SUV), and tons of experience hunting zombies behind his back.
You can watch the video from Resident Evil: Requiem’s official YouTube channel below:
Around the 2:13 mark, eagle-eyed fans could see the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT’s iconic taillamps and spoiler-integrated high-mount stop lamp as it made its way into the driveway of the antagonist Victor Gideon’s mansion.

Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT real-world specifications
Kennedy is seen opening the door of the SUV and stepping outside, rocking tactical boots and a leather jacket with cuff straps and furs (like a Canada Goose jacket). While the author questions the practicality of the character’s outfit (a light plate carrier with molle attachments to carry spare magazines and some tactical clothing would have been better), there’s nothing to say about the capabilities of his ride.
Although we cannot speak for the specifications of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT in the video game, its real-life “spec sheet” offers the following numbers:
|
Maximum power (in horsepower) |
649 |
|
Maximum torque (in Newton-meters) |
850 |
|
Top speed (in kilometers per hour [kph>) |
305 |
|
Acceleration speed (in seconds, from 0-100 kph) |
3.3 |
Thanks to its 4.0-liter V8 bi-turbo engine mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT has more than enough “oomph” to zoom from zero to holy heck in a little over three seconds.
Not that Kennedy plans to run away from zombies, but its powertrain is able to generate more than enough juice to move from point A to point B quickly, and in style, of course.
Transforming power into refined driving dynamics, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT also has a specially-tuned chassis as well as other features like wider wheels with greater camber on the front axle; and adaptive air suspension, including the Porsche Active Suspension Management, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, and rear-axle steering.
Now, the Resident Evil Facebook page said that Kennedy’s ride is a custom model, but we would like it to sport the vehicle’s titanium sport exhaust system and beautiful multi-spoked wheels that house a set of Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, for added stopping power.
Hopefully drivable
Capcom has yet to announce whether Kennedy’s Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT would be a drivable vehicle in the game. While the chances of this happening are slim, some fans are hopeful that the game might include some driving to let them experience what it feels like to virtually drive the luxury SUV, since parts of the trailer show Kennedy driving around town in the posh automobile.
Resident Evil: Requiem (or Resident Evil 9) will be out on February 27, 2026. It will be playable on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and in PCs via Steam and Epic Games.
