Porsche PH to bolster electrification thrust with upcoming Cayenne e-Hybrid

MANILA: Porsche will further expand its new-energy-vehicle lineup with the introduction of the Cayenne’s hybrid version in the Philippine market next month.

According to Porsche Philippines, the new Cayenne E-Hybrid will be revealed in time for the Festival of Dreams event which is set on December 9 at the PGA Cars Studio.

To note, the nameplate's final internal combustion engine-powered version was revealed last September.

The introduction of the new-energy-vehicle version of the Cayenne will coincide with the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Porsche Center building.

Anticipated to be displayed at the event alongside the brand’s new and iconic models, the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid will likely come in sport utility vehicle and coupe body types.

No details have been shared as of the time of posting, but the upcoming Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid models might be offered in standard to mid-grade trims.

Upon checking the company website, the Cayenne E-Hybrid's standard version, S  and Turbo GT E-Hybrid options were already lined up — with the last two tagged as "new" under their respective categories.

 

While that is the case, the upcoming Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid versions might only be up to the S variant. The Turbo GT E-Hybrid variation will likely be offered via indent orders only.

Based on what was seen on the website, the Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid has a 3.0-liter V6 turbo engine and the 130-kilowatt electric motor.
