Queen Elizabeth II’s bespoke Mulsanne added to Bentley Heritage Collection

MANILA: Bentley Motors has welcomed the newest addition to its Heritage Collection, a bespoke 2020 Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase commissioned by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The bespoke unit is the last Mulsanne to be built. It has a number of bespoke features that make the vehicle suitable for royal duties. The exterior is a striking shade of Barnato green, while the interior is made of Twine and Cumbrian leather, Burr Walnut wood veneers, and plush lambswool carpets.

Rear privacy curtains were also added, and the Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom is carved into the door waistrails. The front center armrests were also replaced by a custom-sized tray to hold the Queen’s handbag.

The vehicle is also equipped with concealed blue police lights, a siren, and a bullhorn. The switch panel is tucked away under the gear lever, beneath the walnut-veneered door.

Under the hood of the bespoke Mulsanne is a 6.7-liter V8 engine that produces 529 horsepower.

The commissioned model is the third and final Mulsanne to be added in the Heritage Collection. It will join the VIN 0002 from 2019 and the 2019 Mulsanne Speed that was once a part of Bentley’s press fleet. 

Bentley’s Heritage Collection is now composed of 45 cars, from the oldest Bentley in the world, the 1919 3-Liter EXP2, to the 2021 Continental GT Speed. 37 road-legal cars illustrate the evolution of the Bentley model range of its 104-year history and they are joined by eight of the most iconic motorsport and record-breaking vehicles —  three Speed 8s, the two iterations of the Continental GT3, and Pikes Peak and Ice Speed Record cars.

The Heritage Collection cars are all kept in good condition and available for viewing at Bentley’s carbon-neutral Dream Factory in Crewe, England.
