Say hello to the mildly updated 2020 Civic Si coupe

MANILA: The 2020 Honda Civic Si coupe is here. The newness might not pour from the exterior and interior of the extravagant coupe, but the slightest of touches do make the Japanese a better offering than the previous model. Launched in the USA, the Si trim of the coupe features exterior updates that could only be identified by a Civic devotee in the first glance. The exterior now features a pair of full LED headlamps, new fog lamp housings, and numerous piano-black accents.

Just like the exterior, the interior of the 2020 Honda Civic Si has also received some minimalistic updates. For example, the instrument cluster now boasts a red trim that highlights the dials. The sporty seats continue to vaunt red accents both on the upper and the lower half. Also, there is the Si badging on the seats.

Moving on to the mechanical bits, the powertrain on the 2020 Honda Civic Si coupe retains the 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four motor that churns out 208 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 265 Nm. Ready for it? Yes, the coupe gets a six-speed manual gearbox. What a sight for the stick fanatics, haa? Moreover, due to a 6% shorter final drive ratio, the refreshed model packs better acceleration than the outgoing coupe.
