Singapore Motor Show tallies most number of hybrids, EVs

MANILA: The recently-held Singapore Motor Show has recorded the most number of hybrid and electric vehicles in the event's history. 

According to the organizers of the auto show, there were over 160 vehicles from some 31 brands. Of which, 70 percent were new-energy vehicles from participating exhibitors such as Audi, BMW, BYD, Citroen, Deepal, Denza, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Hyundai, Jaecoo, Kia, Lexus, Maxus, Mazda, Mercedes Benz, MG, Mini, Neta, Nissan, Omoda, Ora, Polestar, Smart, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Volvo, Xpeng, Zeekr, and ZO Motors.

Per the people behind the Singapore Motor Show, some of the notable models in the automotive expo included the first official launch of the all-new Deepal S07 and the Singapore debut of the Yangwang U9.

"Once again, we’ve delivered an exceptional Singapore Motorshow in 2025. This year, we’ve seen a remarkable increase in the EV market in Singapore, with 24 car brands showcasing their
electric vehicle models. We hope this show will help drive sustainability and support government efforts to promote green technology,” Motor Traders Association President Glenn Tan said.

“The Singapore Motorshow will also continue to give a unique opportunity for Singapore residents to explore and compare different car brands all under one roof, and we are committed to bringing this experience to them year after year,” he added.
