Subaru hints at a new Levorg with Viziv Tourer concept car

MANILA: The Geneva Motor Show has been witnessing a slew of Subaru’s Viziv series of concept cars. The Subaru Viziv Tourer concept, which was revealed yesterday amidst speculations that it would be a replacement for the current Impreza Levorg, was seventh in the list.

The styling of the Suzuki Viziv Tourer seems to be very similar to the Viziv performance, another Viziv concept launched at the 2017 Tokyo Motor show and is expected to launch as the next generation WRX sedan.

The C-shaped headlights with a hexagonal grille, carbon fiber wheel extensions, and prominent bonnet are some of the features similar to the Viziv performance. The C-shaped tail lights integrated into the tailgate gives it the look of an Audi.

The Tourer will come with a symmetrical all-wheel-drive system along with a boxer engine. It measures 4,775mm in length, 1,930mm in width and stands at a height of 1,435mm. In comparison, the Levorg is 4,690mm long, 1,780mm wide and 1,485 tall. Moving on the wheelbase, the Viziv Tourer measures 2,730 mm, which is 80 mm more than what we have seen in Levorg. The 20-inch wheels are wrapped in 245/40 series tyres.

Much cannot be said about the engine capacity and output, but it can be expected to be somewhat same as to the ongoing Levorg. The Subaru Levorg comes with 2.0-litre direct injected technology and delivers a power of 300 PS.

The Viziv Tourer, like the other concept cars, comes equipped with a number of advanced technology including the EyeSight driver assistance suite and the next generation automation driving technology. For enhancing the safety of the driver and the passengers, Subaru has included radar with highly accurate GPS and navigation systems.

Subaru is expected to launch the production version of the Viziv Tourer concept in 2020. The Viziv Tourer, if and when replaces the Subaru Levorg, is definitely going to give the automaker an edge over its competitors like Mazda6 in the Philippines.
