Subaru Philippines Offers Outback with a New 2.5i-S Variant

MANILA: Yes, you read it right. The already powerful and high-performance Subaru Outback now has a new variant to follow. Initially available in only one power option, 3.6-litre DOHC engine that effortlessly generated 260 PS @ 6000 rpm and 350 Nm @ 4400 rpm, Subaru has now upgraded the under hood configurations. This SUV will now be offered with an additional 2.5-litre DOHC boxer engine that is known to be both powerful and fuel efficient.

The new power mill offers an improved mid to low range torque, ensuring a complete stop the minute you need. Plus the mill will make the Outback much responsive and safe both in a city and highway driving condition. As for figures, the mill will generate a maximum output of 175 PS @ 5,800 rpm with a peak torque of 235 Nm @ 4000 rpm. Available with a Lineartronic transmission option that will provide power to all four wheels and make the Outback a fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly vehicle with a mileage of 7.7 litres per 100 km and CO2 emission of 177 g/km.

In addition to all this, an X-Mode technology will come as a standard option and will ensure better drivability on rough, steep terrains. Also, the new Outback has been awarded a five-star rating in the latest Euro NCAP safety performance test, making it the safest vehicle of all times. With a body dimension of 4815 x 1840 x 1675 mm (LXWXH) and a good ground clearance of 213 mm, the owner is sure to enjoy ample leg space and flood-proof driving.
