Tokyo Auto Salon will have concepts based on Jimny and Swift

MANILA: The all-new Jimny and Swift have already become people’s favourite in no time after their respective official launches. And there shouldn’t be any worse in having some cool iterations of the newest offerings from Suzuki, right? Come 11 January 2019 and the Tokyo Auto Salon will kick-off. Suzuki is heading to the grand event with no less than three concept vehicles based on the Jimny and the Swift.

There will be two different concepts based on the Jimny, first of whom is a pickup truck. The modified Jimny has done away with the rear seats to make room for a short bed. Suzuki has created the pickup truck using the Sierra variant of the Jimny. The pickup has been created for people who love adventure, DIY activities, and other exciting stuff. It features a dual-tone paint scheme with the vehicle dipped in gold and the roof being white. Another unique element is the white colored wheels. Wood sides, a new grille, white roof, light bar, and chrome hubcaps are also present on the Jimny turned pickup truck.

The second concept based on the Jimny is an adventure focused vehicle. Called the Jimny Survive, the concept boasts a hell lot of adventuring accessories which include metal bumpers, external rollover cage, additional metal plating, new wheels, a winch, and deployable off-road ramps. The third and the last concept is a modified Swift Sport Yellow Rev featuring a special ‘High Chroma Yellow Pearl paint scheme. Other notable changes on the Swift are the stylish custom decals and all black roof at the top. Just like any other concept, these vehicles may or may not make it to the markets in the near future, however, they sure do bring in a lot of excitement for the Tokyo Auto Salon.
