Toyota Boshoku showcases Lounze+ at Auto China 2026

MANILA: Toyota Boshoku, the automotive components arm of the Japanese mobility company, showcased the Lounze+ concept at Auto China 2026.

According to Toyota Boshoku’s Chinese subsidiary, Lounze+ is a “spatial concept mock-up that transforms the vehicle from a means of transportation into an extension of the living space, offering occupants a sense of relaxation and peace of mind.”

On that note, its interior elements — such as the seats, door trims, and console — operate in coordination to enable the space to adapt to different purposes and scenes.

“Whether enjoying music or video content, the cabin can shift into an environment that feels much like a home living room. Warm, flowing surface designs and carefully selected materials create a softly refined mobility space that emphasizes comfort and emotional ease,” Toyota Boshoku China wrote in a press release.

Lounze+ main features

The Lounze+ exhibit showcases various features such as an interior arrangement system in which the seats and center console operate in coordination, providing optimal relaxation tailored to each occupant.

Notable, too, are the integrated control switches that allow display and seat functions to be operated from any seating position.

Meanwhile, occupants can enjoy audio headrests that enable each occupant to enjoy content individually; and an illumination system synchronized with visual content, enhancing a sense of presence and immersion.

Per Toyota Boshoku China, the exhibit is the result of a collaborative initiative between the company, Toyoda Gosei Investment Company Limited, and Tokai Rika Automotive Components Company Limited, with technical collaboration from Huaqin Technology.

Other displays

Aside from the Lounze+ concept, Toyota Boshoku China had other displays at its booth. 

These include:

• Occupant protection technology for “zero-gravity” seating
• Seats and interior for Toyota bZ7
• Seats for Toyota Alphard
• Personal headrest and health monitoring seat
• Multi-linked ambient lighting
• Mono-material door trim
• UpCycleZ recrafted products

All the exhibits presented by Toyota Boshoku China appear to follow the booth’s theme “Upgraded Comfort” and “Resonance of Technology.”

The former signals a redefinition of the mobility experience, while the latter represents the deep resonance between technology and product within the mobility environment.
