Toyota PH brings in all-new LC Prado

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines has brought in the all-new Land Cruiser Prado.

Listed on the carmaker’s local website, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado comes with a sticker price of P4.8 million.

All-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado specs

The all-new Philippine-market Toyota Land Cruiser Prado measures 4,925 millimeters (mm) long, 1,980 mm wide, and 1,935 mm tall. It has a boxy design befitting its rugged and somewhat luxurious nature.

At its fore are automatic LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights, which flank its imposing grille with decent-sized vertical slats. On the lower front bumper are LED fog lamps.

To its sides are angular fender flares that house 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 265/60 series tires. Here, one may also see its squarish side mirrors with power adjust, auto retract, memory, and heating features.

It also gets a pair of roof racks, blacked-out pillars, and a huge step board.

The rear end of the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado comes with LED combination taillamps and LED rear fog lamps. It also has a power tailgate with a kick sensor.

Inside, the latest iteration of the sport utility vehicle (SUV), gets electronic leather seats. The steering wheel is also finished in a similar material and has controls for audio, phone, voice command, cruise control, and lane departure alert.

Past the aforementioned steering wheel is a 12.3-inch thin-film transistor instrument panel. It is accompanied by a similarly-sized (12.3 inches) infotainment screen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

Audio from the connected smartphone device (or the radio) is sent to the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado’s 10-speaker sound system.

Other notable features include a wireless charger, a moonroof, and a head up display.

Under its hood is a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged gasoline engine. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and makes some 277 horsepower with 430 Newton-meters of torque.

Safety-wise, the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is packed with passive and active technologies like a blind spot monitor, vehicle stability control, downhill assist control, and active traction control.

The Toyota Safety Sense suite of safety features adds a pre-collision system, automatic high beam, a lane keeping system, and dynamic radar cruise control to the already robust list of tech.

Variants

The all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is sold in a single variant . Available colors include Avant Garde Bronze and Black Mica. Those looking to get the premium full-size SUV in White Pearl Mica will have to shell out P15,000 more (P4.815 million).
