Volkswagen out of ACEI stable
Conclusion of distribution serves as ‘strategic move’ both firms
MANILA: Automobile Central Enterprise Incorporated (ACEI) and Volkswagen have ended the distribution partnership.

According to ACEI, the brand's customers locally may still get their vehicles serviced at Alabang and Pampanga service centers as well as other authorized service touchpoints.The latest development for the two firms came around a month after the Ayala-led firm also announced it has also concluded its collaboration with SAIC Motor Corporation Limited (SAIC) for the Maxus brand.
To note, ACEI was the German automotive marque’s official distributor for roughly 12 years (since 2013).
With the two marques now out of the ACMobility stable, the company now focuses on being the distributor of BYD and Kia.

It can be recalled that the last Volkswagen model that entered the local market was the Tharu back in 2023.
“Over the past years, we’ve been proud to have brought the heritage and innovation of Volkswagen to the Filipino market,” ACMobility Head of Strategy Dana Uson said.
“As we continue our transformation towards electric and sustainable mobility solutions, we recognize this as a natural point of evolution for both companies. While our paths are now taking different directions, we part ways with mutual respect, deep appreciation, and with optimism as both organizations pursue new opportunities,” she added.
For his part, Volkswagen AG Sales Director for India and ASEAN Vassil Stavrev expressed gratitude to ACEI for the stewardship and contributions over the years.
“We value the strong relationship built with ACEI and the loyalty of our Filipino customers. As we move forward, our priority remains to provide uninterrupted service and support, ensuring Volkswagen owners continue to enjoy peace of mind. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and our ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainable mobility in the Philippines,” the executive was quoted as saying.
As Volkswagen’s retail activities in the Philippines will officially end, Volkswagen BGC (the brand’s last running dealership, shall cease operations come end of the month.
While that is the case, ACEI said that Volkswagen will continue to provide vehicle servicing, maintenance, and warranty support to its customers in the country through its Alabang and Pampanga service centers as well as other authorized service touchpoints.
