MANILA: The first week of February proved to be yet another busy one for the local auto and motorcycle scene. Automobile launches
GWM Haval H9
Great Wall Motors (GWM) has finally rolled out the Haval H9, a promising contender in the country’s mid-size SUV segment.
Notably, it is powered by a 2.4-liter inline-four, turbocharged diesel engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission to make 183 horsepower (hp) and 480 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
It is priced at P1.998 million with an introductory price of P1.928 million until May 31, 2026.
Honda CR-V
Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated has updated the CR-V for 2026.
The nameplate now carries two electrified models: RS e:HEV AWD E-CVT and VX e:HEV E-CVT. The new VX e:HEV E-CVT variant makes 145 hp and 183 Nm of torque thanks to its 2.0-liter direct injection, Atkinson-cycle gasoline mill paired with two electric motors.
Also introduced is the entry-level Honda CR-V V HuNT grade.

Honda City, City Hatchback
The treatment given to these models is mainly cosmetic, such as new paint, additional black accents, special badges, and new garnishes.
Sticker prices are at P1.039 million and P1.279 million, respectively.
Mitsubishi Versa
Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation has revived the Versa nameplate.
The returning van is based on the Nissan Urvan and is powered by a 2.5-liter diesel engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, which puts out 127 horses and 356 Nm of pulling power.
Mitsubishi offers the van in a single GLX MT priced at P1.649 million.
Honda Click125
Honda’s motorcycle arm has released the updated Click125, which was given sportier looks and more technological features.
Available in Standard and Smart Edition, these two-wheelers cost P82,400 and P86,900, respectively.
