Honda Cars PH launches updated CR-V

MANILA: Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated (HCPI) has rolled out the updated CR-V for the local market.

The model now has two e:hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) trims namely the RS e:HEV AWD E-CVT and the new VX e:HEV E-CVT. The two are joined by the new non-hybrid V Turbo HuNT CVT variant. 

For reference, here are the prices of the newly updated Philippine-spec Honda CR-V for the model year 2026:

Packaged together with the hybrid versions of the updated Honda CR-V is a battery warranty covering up to eight years or 160,000 kilometers (km), whichever comes first. 

The model is available in four colors across all variants. These are Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Canyon River Blue Metallic, and the new Crystal Black Pearl.

Powertrains

The updated Honda CR-V is available with two powertrains. For the RS and VX trims, both get a 2.0-liter direct injection, Atkinson-cycle gasoline mill paired with two electric motors.

Its internal combustion component can produce up to 145 horsepower (hp) and 183 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque, while its electric motors adds a further 181 hp and 335 Nm of torque. 

Both the RS and VX feature an electric continuously variable transmission (E-CVT), but the RS is the only trim to receive a new real-time all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. This is touted to provide the RS variant with enhanced power delivery across various scenarios, improved stability, and better cornering ability. 

Per Honda, the RS and VX e:HEV versions can deliver up to 21.3 kilometers per liter (kpl) and 29.4 kpl, respectively. 

The entry-level Honda CR-V V HuNT variant, on the other hand, gets a 1.5-liter direct-injected, double overhead cam (DOHC) gasoline mill that can put out 187 hp and 240 Nm of torque. It uses a conventional CVT as well as a front-wheel-drive layout, and it is said to be capable of achieving 16.4 kpl in the city. 

New features

Honda provided the updated CR-V with plenty of exterior and interior improvements. All trims retain a similar silhouette as the pre-updated version, but the RS sports Piano Black Accents, while the VX comes with a new pair of rear fog lamps, alloy wheels, and black garnishes for its tailgate and door mirrors. 

Exclusive to the Honda CR-V HuNT is a rugged look combined with a running board, silver front garnishes, and black-colored accents on its wheel arches. The model also stands out with its “HuNT” emblem and copper accents on the front grille and fog lamps. 

Inside the top-spec trim are red-colored RS stitched patterns on its seats. All trims do get leather upholstery and a three-spoke leather steering wheel. 

For 2026, Honda equipped both the RS and VX with a head-up display, which is said to minimize potential distractions while driving. It can display crucial vehicle parameters and navigation prompts. 

Additionally, the CR-V RS and VX can now save driver profiles, which is useful for saving individual preferences and settings. 

The updated Honda CR-V’s infotainment system was likewise given the “Google Built-in” software. With the said tech, drivers for all CR-V trims get access to hands-free voice control. The aforementioned is paired with Honda Connect, a smartphone application that allows remote control of specific in-vehicle functions and monitoring of parameters. 

The new CR-V’s Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver assist systems (ADAS) was also improved with the addition of Blind Spot Information and Cross Traffic Monitoring for all trims.
