The first-ever Nissan Festival in the Philippines was held at the Clark International Speedway. The event drew a large attendance of Nissan car clubs, Nissan owners, and car enthusiasts — all of whom had the chance to immerse themselves in the best of what the Japanese brand has to offer from its past and current model lineups.
Making a huge statement at the first-ever Nissan Festival in the Philippines were the significant turnout of Z and Patrol vehicles. Dozens of Nissan Z examples were brought in by their respective owners, while two units are extra-special cars built by Nissan Philippines in collaboration with two exemplary partners.

Based on the Nissan Z NISMO, the Quiccs-customized car comes in the Stealth Grey colorway. It was further enhanced with angular decals all around - further emphasizing the athletic lines of the Z, while giving it a “cybernetic” look. Interestingly, the car also bears a “TEQ 23” decal, which references the Quiccs TEQ collectible lineup. The number 23, meanwhile, is a nod to the Nissan name — where “2” is “Ni” and “3” is “San” in Japanese.

The white Nissan Z Lim presented is his personal car, and it wears a subtle body kit, a set of silver-colored Rays gramLIGHT wheels.

Over towards the front of the CIS paddock, members of various clubs dedicated to the Patrol showed off their modified rigs.

The aforementioned includes the Ariya and the X-Trail e-POWER. Both are crossovers that represent the cutting-edge of the Yokohama-headquartered brand’s powertrain technologies. With the two models seen at the grounds, spectators couldn’t help but speculate about the two’s possible entry in the country.

The one at the Nissan Festival came in the alluring Millennium Jade color.
Photo by Cesar Guiderone MiguelMaking the Nissan Festival a more memorable experience for visitors was the presence of Hiroshi Tamura — a veteran engineer who spearheaded the development of the GT-R R35.
At the event, Tamura interacted with members of the Philippine automotive media through an exclusive press conference, and with Nissan GT-R fans through a meet-and-greet session. Three lucky event-goers were also given the chance to ride shotgun with the Godfather of the GT-R at the track.

This was attended by more than a handful of Nissan nameplates from the past and present, including the Navara, a bunch of X-Trail examples from various generations, Sentra, S-chassis (Sylvia) models, and a lot of older Nissan Z cars (250Z and 350Z), the current Z, and GT-Rs.

In his speech, Nissan Philippines President Masao Tsutsumi thanked the brand’s followers and supporters in supporting the said event — noting that the program is designed to showcase how colorful the car community is in the Philippines.
Further, he mentioned that his leadership is also looking forward to mounting more similar programs in the future.
