Makina to host the Moto Builds competition and Big Bike Expo May 19-20, 2018
MANILA: 2018 Moto Builds Pilipinas, the premier bike show and a much-awaited event for motorcycle enthusiasts is scheduled to be held from May 19th to 20th at SMX Convention Center, Pasay City, Manila. Zach Lucero of Makina and Asia United Bank will host the show along with Big Bike Expo show. A lot many top-notch and new brands will take this opportunity to put their products on display at this event.
Yamaha is believed to give a glimpse of its SR400. The bike comes with a displacement reading 399 cc and 5-speed transmission. For 1 litre of petrol it can run up to 41 km and its fuel tank capacity is 12-litre. The bike looks classic and provides plenty room for back rides. The seating position is not very high and it features an air-cooled single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 2-valve power plant. The price is around P329,000.
BMW Motorrad is expected to present its heritage lineup like it might put on display the new R nineT, BMW R nineT Pure, BMW R nineT Racer, BMW R nineT Scrambler, BMW R nineT Urban G/S models etc.
Italian brands like Moto Guzzi and Moto Morini are also expected to showcase their motorcycles to their admirers in Manila. Moto Guzzi motorcycles feature the iconic engine format of longitudinally mounted crankshafts coupled with transverse V-twin cylinders. The Moto Morini is available in three variants and each of them is powered by a longitudinally mounted CorsaCorta V-twin engine with 1200cc displacement. Both the Italian brands offer excellent performance.
It is being said that at the Big Bike Expo show, Harley-Davidson will also launch a new motorcycle, and Chinese maker CFMoto will exhibit the new middleweight models that it produced partnering with design firm KISKA. In addition to all these, a myriad of several other brands will also participate like Suzuki, Royal Enfield, Ducati, Norton, Yamaha, Kawasaki, KTM etc.
At the Moto Build portion of the venue, one will find around 100 custom creations like choppers, trackers, scramblers, café racers, bobbers, and scramblers. The show will undoubtedly be one of the most exciting places to be this upcoming weekend with the illustrious Trans Sport Show at the same venue.
