MANILA: VinFast is looking to expand its electric scooter (e-scooter) operations.

    Each product, it noted, is carefully adapted to local usage conditions, mobility patterns, and consumer preferences in individual markets.

    PH as an important market

    VinFast sees the Philippines as an important market and a strategic region that will play an important role in its e-scooter expansion journey.

    The company has partnered with five leading dealers across Luzon and Mindanao, which are Maverick Racing Factory Incorporated, MotorCentral, New Nemar Development Corp., Supremebike Corporation, and ARC Trading.

    Its partners are well-established, experienced players with clear commitments to green transition initiative, and will play an important role in establishing a nationwide retail and service network.

    Possible opening of retail outlets

    According to VinFast, its strategy aims to open “hundreds of retail outlets” in the abovementioned markets by 2027.

    In doing so, it will establish a solid foundation for long-term growth.

    Further, its expansion model is designed to be flexible and operationally efficient, integrating dealer networks, service workshops, financial solutions, and energy infrastructure, including collaboration with V-Green for charging and battery-swapping systems.

    The company plans to mimic its success in Vietnam, where it was able to sell 406,453 e-scooters, officially securing the leading market share position in its home market.
