Will Honda PH update the Giorno+?

MANILA: Fresh from updating the Click 125, Honda Philippines Incorporated (HPI) might also refresh the Giorno+ soon.

Recently, a documentation about a Honda two-wheeler was released that piqued Zigwheels Philippines's interest.

As stated in the document this model bore the name “ACF125CBT.” Just as we were about to dismiss it (thinking that it is just the production name for the recently-launched offering), we examined the paper further and the result led us to our speculation.

Here are some of the breadcrumbs that we followed leading to our speculation.

On paper, the yet-to-be-revealed Honda model came with the following numbers:

Overall size (length, width, height; in millimeters [mm>)	1,902 x 1,144 x 681
Wheelbase (in mm)	1,312
Ground clearance (in mm)	115
Gross vehicle weight (in kilograms)	252

These figures are the same as the currently-offered Honda Giorno+ in the local market.

Further, the said model also wears the same single cylinder, 125-cubic centimeter (cc) engine. This mill, the documentation noted, lets the two-wheeler reach a top speed of 94 kilometers per hour.

Additionally, the motorcycle stated in the document from the regulator is slapped with 12-inch wheels (100/90 for the front and 110/90 for the rear).

At the time of posting, HPI has yet to comment on our presumption. So, while waiting, here are some details about the currently-offered Honda Giorno+.

Powering the existing offering is a four-valve, liquid-cooled, 125cc engine with Enhanced Smart Power Plus technology. Its sips gasoline from its 5.4-liter tank. The said powertrain can generate 11.39 horses and 11.6 Newton meters of torque.

It features a neo-retro look, thanks to its circular LED headlamp brown seat and handle grips, squared taillight, and a three-dimensional emblem.

Moreover, is myriad of modern amenities include:

• A USB port inside a 2.4-liter console box
• 30-liter underseat compartment  
• Front fuel tank
• Luggage hook
• Idling stop system
• Full digital meter panel
• Combi brake system
• Smart key system and remote

The current version is priced at P101,900 and is offered in the following colors:

• Virgin Beige
• Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic
• Pearl Jubilee White
• Piquant Orange
