Yamaha Motor PH to launch 'updated' Nmax on soc-med today

MANILA: Yamaha Motor Philippines Incorporated is set to launch the updated Nmax tonight at 8 p.m. The said event will be live-streamed via the brand’s official Facebook page.

The aforementioned formal introduction for the updated motorcycle was announced by the marque through its official social media channels. Its Philippine launch comes after the brand started its pre-order period a couple of weeks ago. It likewise comes after the refreshed model’s initial launch in Indonesia back in 2024. 

As of this writing, the brand has yet to share more details about the refreshed bike. So, for now, let’s take a look at the updated Yamaha Nmax’s specifications based on the information gathered by Zigwheels Philippines. 

2025 Yamaha Nmax: specifications

Size-wise, the upcoming Nmax — based on Indonesian specifications — is taller than the outgoing version. It is 1,935 millimeters (mm) long, 740 mm wide, and 1,200 mm in height. It also has a seat height of 770 mm and a ground clearance of 135 mm. 

For its powertrain, the updated model utilizes a four-stroke, single overhead cam, four-valve 155-cubic centimeter mill connected to a Yamaha electronic controlled continuous variable transmission (YECVT). 

At maximum, the said engine can generate up to 15 horsepower and 14.2 Newton-meters of torque. It has a similar peak power figure as the old model, but it makes slightly more torque. 

Additionally, the Indonesia-spec model was improved with two new drive modes to optimize performance. It now has town commuting and sport touring. The two go along with the ride’s T-Shift feature, which provides low, medium, and high drive levels. 

Other notable features for the updated maxi-scoot include, but are not limited to, the following: 

• Dual-channel anti-lock braking
• Traction control
• Smart key
• Hazard lamps
• Type C USB socket
• Integrated meter assembly

Per Yamaha dealers and sales agents, the updated Yamaha Nmax will be sold in two variants, with the following prices:

Its available color options in Philippine dealerships are Black, Dark Magma, and Light Gray.
