The Subaru BRZ has proved that you don’t require crazy horsepower to have a fun driving experience. Its manual gearbox is the slickest I’ve ever used, and the naturally aspirated engine loves to rev, making gear changes an absolute delight. I’ve taken it on long excursions on the motorway where it sits efficiently and comfortably, and then it comes alive when it hits twisty countryside lanes. It is a head-turner from the outside. For me, the Subaru BRZ balances weekend thrills with daily usability in a way few other vehicles do.
